Many ask if Jesus heals today or if we have only heard of him healing through the parables and through Scripture.

Without a doubt, Jesus heals today! The Old Testament tells of healing that took place and the New Testament is filled with testimony of Jesus' healing power through prayer.

Let's take a look at what Scripture tells us about the healing power of God.

In Mattthew 18:19-20 Jesus tells us:

         Again I tell you, if two of you join your voices on earth to pray
         for anything whatever, it shall be granted you by my Father in heaven.
         Where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst.

Jesus uses prayer as the vehicle to heal yet He is always present, always saving and always healing His people. How often are we conscious of God's presence in our lives?

Matthew 7:7-10 - Jesus tells us about the power of prayer

        Ask, and you will receive. Seek and you will find.
        Knock, and it will be opened to you. For the one who asks, receives.
         The one who seeks, finds. The one who knocks, enters.
         Would one of you hand his son a stone when he asks for a loaf,
         or a poisonous snake when he asks for a fish?
         If you with all your sins, know how to give your children what is good,
         how much more will your heavenly Father give good things
         to anyone who asks him!
